DOMAČIJA ŠAJNA — TRADITIONAL FLAVOURS OF THE KARST

In Šepulje, about a 15-minute drive from Vila Kobdilj 1835, you’ll find one of the Karst’s most distinctive traditional restaurants. Domačija Šajna is set in a beautifully restored old Karst homestead with an enclosed courtyard, where tables are set in the shade of a mulberry and walnut tree during the warmer months.

The kitchen stays true to the Karst and its seasons. The menu features Karst prosciutto, jota, štruklji, seasonal dishes, as well as meat and fish specialities. They are particularly known for their homemade pasta. Our favourites? Pasta with truffles and saffron gnocchi.
